After several years of being with that special someone, everything becomes a routine and this is one of the reasons why relationships tend to fail.
In today’s world, it is easy for most of us in a relationship to get caught up in our daily grind. Between having a job, possibly even two, a family, & other responsibilities that just take too much time in our lives, how can we possibly make time to do something different and fun with our significant other at the end of the day when we are so tired? Does romance even exist in relationships these days?
According to Nancy J. Wasson, PH.D., and co-author of Keep Your Marriage “when this happens, spouses often start relating to each other as they would to a friend or a sibling. Parents can begin to feel as if they are only “business partners” joined together to raise their children and keep the household running.”
Every relationship needs a healthy dose of on going add spice and fun to it. It’s not enough to just start out with a sizzling romance. It’s never too late to put romance back into your relationship. Every now and then a relationship can use some work. It’s all too easy to forget the role of lover along the way and lose that special romantic spark. I have compiled a few tips on how to re-ignite the flame you once had with your partner.
Here are some romantic ways to keep the flame alive:
1. Put a romantic note in his shirt, pants, car or her purse and let him/her find it.
2. When at a party, whisper something naughty into your partner’s ear. Do this while he/she is in front of other people.
3. Think of something sexy you both enjoy and make it a tradition. Like always having a make out session in an empty elevator.
4. Give a back massage. (without complaining or better yet without being asked)
5. Plan a weekly date night.
There are indefinite ways to keep your partner feeling loved, wanted & interested in you. Let them know that they are your priority in life, and don’t take them for granted. It’s the little things that count and add up. Don’t let routine destroy your relationship…start today!
